Kiss on the lips Valentine's Cocktail
This year for Valentine’s I’m changing things up a bit and doing a cocktail recipe. Hope you all fall drunk in love in 2020!Cocktail Recipe Ingredients
• 1 shot of peach schnapps
• 120 g frozen mango
• 1 tablespoon grenadine
• 2 cups crushed ice Method Put the peach schnapps, frozen mango and crushed ice into a blender and blend in spurts until smooth. Pour the grenadine into the bottom of a cocktail glass and then pour the blended mixture in over the top of it. Garnish with fresh mint and a piece of pineapple.Make your own grenadine syrup:
It is easy to make grenadine syrup from scratch using fresh pomegranates or pomegranate juice. Impress your friends with a more grownup cocktail using homemade grenadine, free from the artificial colours and flavours of the store-bought varieties.Ingredients:
• 1 ½ cups pomegranate juice
• 1 cup sugar of your choice
• ½ lime, juiced (optional)Method
Mix together the pomegranate juice and sugar in a small pot over the stove, and stir over low to medium heat until the sugar has completely dissolved.
Bring the heat down to low and continue to heat it, stirring occasionally until the mixture has thickened to your liking. Add in some lemon or lime juice, to taste, towards the end of the cooking process.
Pour into bottles and store in the refrigerator for several weeks. You can add in some vodka to preserve it if you find that you aren’t going to use it all up in time.
