Meet the Agent - June 2019
Meet the Agent - Harrold Page
Meet the Agent - Harrold Page
We met up with Harrold Page, owner of HomePAGE on a misty, chilly day in Swakopmund. Nonetheless, over a pleasant cup of steamy coffee, whilst overlooking the waves of the Mole, the chills were soon forgotten.Harrold (yes, Harrold with two “r's”) not only has the drive and self-motivation to make a huge success of his business, but also has the desire to go the extra mile for each of his clients.
The name HomePAGE is now a household name. Tell us a bit more?
During April or May 2016, after I had made the decision to start my own real estate business and whilst strolling on the beach (I live in Long Beach), the name HomePAGE popped up in my mind - and the rest is history. I then sold my first property on 19 May 2016.
Depicted in the photo, we can see your office in Henties Bay, but do you also cover other areas?
Yes, apart from the Henties Bay office, we now boast our new office in Swakopmund with Amanda van Zyl as agent. The premises is shop no 12, The Atrium (where the old Edgars branch was). Now I also have a place I can call “work”!!
I operate in Long Beach and Dolphin Beach from my home-office. In addition, I also assist with specific properties in Omaruru and Usakos. Yvonne Carstens and myself cover the Walvis Bay area. Carin McLoud is our Henties Bay agent.
What motivates you each morning to tackle the day with enthusiasm?
Mainly to live my dream: It was always my goal to have my own Estate Agency and to live at the coast.
I am grateful for the blessings I receive and for the successes we have as a team. I truly love what I do. What motivates me is my goal to be the agency of choice to many people.
How do you evaluate success in the real estate industry?
At the conclusion of a deal, both the buyer and the seller should be satisfied and both the buyer and seller should be willing to promote the agent/agency and refer work to the agent/agency.
According to you, what qualities should a successful real estate agent possess?
They should have excellent people skills, deal with integrity and be honest.
