Your pool needs care-year round

With winter here and water restrictions in full swing, it is normal that the last thing we are thinking of would be the swimming pool. Water, however, is a living substance and water needs to be treated throughout the year.
Leaving the pool with cover closed and pump switched off, normally results in the pool’s mechanical seal being damaged due to standing still for a long time. Although the pool is covered, very slow evaporation will take place and it is vital to check the pool’s water level. Ground movement may cause pressure on pipes and skimmers, causing small cracks and leaks.
Ensuring your pool is treated with the right pool chemicals & accessories, will save money in the long run. Every year Lic Pool gets inundated with calls for "once-off" pool cleans. This process is expensive, as merely adding chemicals and leaving the pool is not sufficient.
Regular follow up visits are necessary to brush loose the dirt. This needs to be swept up, and re-adding of expensive chemicals is required to treat the pool’s need for chlorine.
